The Big idea
In the summer of 2009 I cycled solo from Lands End to John O' Groats to raise money for Sue Ryder Care. With minimal preparation and help I set off on Monday 6th July in the general direction of John O' Groats from Lands End and waved goodbye to three tearful women (my Girlfriend, Sister and Mum).
Being a student I aimed to do the trip as cheaply as possible, namely by:
- Completing the trip unsupported in 14 days
- Camping using a "Tarp and Bivvy" sleeping arrangement
- Eating on the road in local pubs
